Igor 25 – A soldier of the OUN – (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists)
I have been in this battalion for four months now, before the war I was a student, studying to become a bartender.
The war has not changed me in any way. Maybe I have become more responsible and got a feeling for what is right and wrong. I am tired of all society’s injustice. If I still see this when I get home, I need to go back to the front line again. Nothing works now. There are no laws, no rules or regulations and the economy is very bad.
The most important thing I have learned is to protect the motherland, the traditions and human values.
If someone brings peace we will be happy, we will be friends and we will not hurt each other. But every man needs to defend his territory where he lives, including the motherland.
